Accessibility

TeaTonight should be easy to use however you use your iPhone, iPad or Mac. It's built on Apple's own accessibility features, and they all work in TeaTonight.

VoiceOver

Every screen works with VoiceOver. Buttons, recipes and the days of your week are all named, headings let you jump from section to section, and on the Edit page you can move a meal to another night from the Actions rotor, no dragging needed.

Voice Control

You can use TeaTonight hands-free with Voice Control. Say what you can see, like "Tap Plan" or "Tap Bolognese", or on the Edit page say "Show actions for Monday" to move a meal to another night. Handy when your hands are covered in flour.

Larger Text

On iPhone and iPad, text follows the size you've chosen in Settings, including the larger accessibility sizes, and the layout rearranges so nothing is cut off.

Dark Mode

TeaTonight has a full dark appearance. It follows your device, or you can choose Light or Dark in Me → Appearance.

Contrast, and more than colour

Text is designed to stay easy to read in light and dark. When something changes, like a meal added to your week or a recipe saved to your Usuals, it changes shape as well as colour, so you never have to rely on colour alone.

Reduce Motion

If you've turned on Reduce Motion, TeaTonight swaps its slides, bounces and pops for simple fades.

Something not working for you?

If anything in TeaTonight is hard to use the way you use your device, I'd really like to know. Get in touch at hello@teatonight.app. We aim to respond within 2 working days.
